1. Agreement to these terms

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern access to and use of The Student Connexion’s (“TSC”, “we”, “us”) student portal and advisor dashboard (the “Platform”) by students, parents/guardians and school staff (“Users”) of a school that has a current School Services Agreement with TSC. By using the Platform, you agree to these Terms. These Terms apply only to the school-licensed Platform — The Student Connexion’s resources for individual families are covered by separate terms.

2. Who can use the Platform

The Platform is made available to students, parents/guardians and staff of schools that hold a current licence with TSC. Access for students is arranged through their school; access for advisors is arranged by TSC or the school’s TSC administrator.

3. Acceptable use

When using the Platform, Users must not:

  • Attempt to access another student’s or another school’s data
  • Share an advisor account or its credentials with anyone else
  • Attempt to bypass, disable or interfere with security features (including multi-factor authentication)
  • Upload or submit unlawful, abusive, or sexually explicit content
  • Use the Platform’s AI features to generate harmful, abusive or inappropriate content
  • Attempt to reverse engineer, scrape, or extract the Platform’s underlying content or code beyond normal use

TSC may suspend or terminate access for a User who breaches this section.

4. AI-generated content

The Platform uses artificial intelligence to generate career suggestions, Pathway Action Plans, interview feedback and resume feedback. AI-generated content is provided for general guidance only, may occasionally be inaccurate or incomplete, and does not constitute professional career, financial, medical or legal advice. Students and advisors should use their own judgement, and seek advice from a qualified professional where appropriate.

5. Content submitted by Users

Users retain ownership of content they submit (such as quiz answers, resumes, and interview recordings). By submitting content, Users grant TSC a licence to process that content solely to provide the Platform’s features (including sending it to TSC’s AI and hosting providers as described in the Privacy Policy).

6. Availability and changes to the Platform

TSC aims to keep the Platform available but does not guarantee uninterrupted access. Features may be added, changed or removed over time. Material changes affecting a school’s use of the Platform will be communicated to the school under the School Services Agreement.

7. Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, TSC’s liability for any loss arising from use of the Platform is limited as set out in the School Services Agreement between TSC and the relevant school. Nothing in these Terms excludes any right or remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded, including under the Australian Consumer Law.

8. Privacy

Personal information is handled in accordance with the TSC Privacy Policy, available on this website.

9. Termination

A User’s access to the Platform ends when their school’s licence ends, when they leave the school, or if TSC suspends or terminates their access for breach of these Terms.

10. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Australia.
